Exponemos las nociones filosóficas de symploké y conectivismo, en su relación con (1) los sistemas naturales y las máquinas mentales, los mapas cognitivos y los modelos; (2) la estilística cognitiva y la integración conceptual, y (3) la noción de consiliencia propuesta por E. O. Wilson (1998). del saber. En los ensayos filosóficos sobre la historia de la ciencia de Adam Smith vemos un importante precursor de la teoría cognitivista de mapas y modelos, y del ideal de consiliencia en la filosofía de la ciencia.

English abstract: 

'How Things Hang Together': The Connection of Everything

This paper deals with the philosophical notions of symploké and connectionism, as they relate to 1) natural systems and mental machines, cognitive maps and models; 2) cognitive stylistics and conceptual integration; and 3) to E. O. Wilson's (1998) notion of consilience. Adam Smith's philosophical essays on the history of science are seen here as an important precursor of the cognitivist theory of maps and models, and of the ideal of consilience among philosophers of science.
