El realismo como idolatría: Conocemos en parte
Este artículo compara la tradición intelectual de la teología negativa y de la semiótica sacra con algunos desarrollos contemporáneos de la ciencia cognitiva y la teoría de la mente. En ambos casos un realismo ingenuo se desconstruye mediante la consciencia de la naturaleza semiótica del objeto, y las representaciones de la naturaleza última de la realidad se someten a una desmitologización, estableciéndose una oposición entre el literalismo espontáneo y la posición crítica del propio analista.

Realism as Idolatry: We Know in Part
This paper compares the intellectual tradition of negative theology and sacred semiotics to some contemporary developments in cognitive science and the theory of mind. In both cases naive realism is deconstructed through an awareness of the semiotic nature of the object, and representations of the ultimate nature of reality are demythologized, establishing an opposition between spontaneous literalism and the analyst’s own critical stance.

Respondemos al artículo de Umberto Eco "Hay cosas que no se pueden decir: En torno al Realismo Negativo". Criticamos la postura positivista lógica de Eco desde una perspectiva pragmática, interaccionista y dialógica, ligando la efectividad en la argumentación y la definición de la verdad a una multiplicidad de posibles contextos comunicativos.

On What Cannot Be Said
This is an answer to Umberto Eco’s article "There Are Things Which Cannot Be Said: On Negative Realism", in which Eco’s logical-positivist position is criticised from a pragmatical, interactionist and dialogic standpoint. Validity in argumentation and the definition of truth are linked to a variety of possible contexts of communication.
