Veblen y la teatralidad (Veblen and Theatricality)
English Abstract:
Veblen and Theatricality
The dramatistic theory of social life, systematically formulated by Erving Goffman, has a number of precedents among social theorists and writers who emphasize the theatricality inherent in social life. This paper notes the importance given by Thorstein Veblen, in his Theory of the Leisure Class, to the acting out of social roles, which makes him a major theorist of social dramatism.
