Examinamos la manera en que el concepto mítico de creación a partir de la nada se convirtió en una noción filosóficamente respetable en filosofía natural, y en la base de un paradigma científico para la investigación cosmológica, principalmente a través de la filosofía evolucionista de Herbert Spencer y su análisis de la multiplicación de los efectos. También se proporciona así una genealogía conceptual del conocido 'efecto mariposa'.

The Butterfly Effect and 'Ex Nihilo' Complexity
An examination of the way the mythical concept of creation out of nothing became a philosophically respectable notion in natural philosophy, and the basis for a scientific cosmological paradigm, mainly through the evolutionary philosophy of Herbert Spencer and his analysis of the multiplication of effects. This also amounts to providing a conceptual genealogy of the well-known 'butterfly effect'.
