The Intertextual Network of the Real: Reality as a Web of Fictions

Yuval Noah Harari’s theory of shared collective imaginings and cultural evolution in ’Sapiens" is set in the context of earlier approaches to social constructionism, in particular Berger and Luckmann’s in ’The Social Construction of Reality’ and John R. Searle’s theory of institutions in ’The Construction of Social Reality.
