Han cambiado el diseño de la página de Academia.edu, pero ahí sigue figurando mi trofeo de píxeles: y ahora ya cumplo un año entre el uno por mil más visitado de sus miembros.
Teniendo en cuenta que Academia.edu tiene más de veintiún millones de usuarios, eso parecería situarme entre los 21.000 académicos más visitados de esta red. Que ya es un puesto, no crean.
Post y debate en Loïc Le Meur sobre si existe una cultura blog. Loïc destaca que es una cultura de la interacción, del intercambio de opiniones, de las ganas de comunicarse, de apoyarse unos a otros, y hasta de encontrarse en persona en cuanto se da la ocasión. Los lectores matizan esto, quizá son menos comunicativos que Loïc. Uno en particular enfatiza el individualismo y la necesidad de reconocimiento medida en visitas y posts. Yo añado este comentario:
(En jill/txt hay un post sobre la nueva política de evaluación de la investigación en Noruega, semejante a la que se va implantando aquí también: es decir, clasificar las revistas entre medios de primera (investigación) o de segunda (popularización, etc.). Los blogs, supone Jill, contarán como medios de segunda, o peor diría yo, al no tener control editorial del tipo peer-review). Ello no quiere decir que no puedan encontrarse allí ideas buenas, y como divulgación seguramente van a tener un papel cada vez más importante. También cambiarán la manera de investigar, dinamizando el intercambio de ideas).

A commentary I add to the YouTube video, concerning the "Gilgamesh Project", the name given by Harari to the human fight against death:
One thing about Gilgamesh and the Gilgamesh Project. The hero's quest to fight death may have ended in failure, but the poem is the testimony to a relative success in the quest, insomuch as it is a monument to the discovery of writing, as can be seen in the opening. The eternity of writing is implicitly compared to the strength of the walls of Uruk, and both transcend the limitations of human life. Cultural monuments, both built and written, are humankind's partial defeat of death, as lives pass but the memory of the past is preserved. Writing, and living history, are the cure for death which is found at that stage of the Gilgamesh project.
